The Most Secret Method revel in the economy of motion. Three elements; guitar, bass, and a trap kit - stripped to its bare essentials. Their songs move from clean tones and and lock rhythm grooves to sonic explosions that speak of rage, passion and joy, not just in turn, but somehow all at once.
The band was formed in 1995 when brothers Marc and Ryan joined forces with bassist Johanna Claasen. The Most Secret Method's live debut was June 6, 1996 at the Black Cat in Washington, DC alongside The Capitol City Dusters and Regulator Watts, who were both playing their first shows as well.
The Most Secret Method issued a self-released seven inch in 1996 followed by a Split 10" EP in 1997 on Superbad with frequent touring pals The Capitol City Dusters. Their first full-length CD/LP, Get Lovely was released on Slowdine Records in 1998.
The Most Secret Method toured extensively in the US and made one trip overseas to Europe in 1999. The band went on hiatus in 2000 and resurfaced in 2002 for a series of shows to support the release of their final album Our Success. The band's last show was August 3, 2002 - once again at Washington, DC's Black Cat.
